This section describes the Personalization API used for applying personalization features for the Optimizely platform.
How it works
The client calls the Personalization API which, primarily, returns product recommendations or content.
- The client sends the API a request containing information about the user and the order.
- The Optimizely Personalization API returns a list of recommended products.
You can show recommendations on a call-center screen, a till/terminal in a shop, an email receipt, a printed receipt (such as being included in the order packaging), and so on.
