Remove <P> tag from the XHTML value

I want to remove

and

tags that's getting added in addition to the XHTML value. is there any way to remove

tag this simply ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would recommend stripping them out before rendering in your template controller. TinyMCE will not work well without P-elements.
