Hi Daniel!
There is currently no support to use MVC when building templates for Commerce. We are currently looking into aligning the Commerce and CMS template systems and MVC support is included in this work but for the current Commerce version you would have to use web forms unless you want to build something yourself.
Any news regarding Commerce/MVC? We are starting a new Commerce-project in a couple of days, and I really prefer to use MVC.
Hi!
Since the next version is still in the development process it's the TAP/RDP programs that can be used to develop a site with MVC in a "supported" version of EPiServer Commerce. Send an email to Magnus Stråle (or me) if you are interested in this.
Check out this blog by Chris Sharp http://cjsharp.com/blog/2013/07/26/integrating-episerver-7-mvc-and-commerce-1-r3-part-1-developing-the-basics/
Comment on his blog, he is normally very helpful and has built many commerce sites with MVC
I think the main problem was that I've somehow got wrong nuget-packages. I'll gave up after a couple of tries. If I try again I'll specify the problems better.
Dear all,
I am currently developing a website using EPiServer 7 & Commerce 1 R3.
How can I display products within the catalog using MVC? What code should I write to get access / connect to the Commerce API? Any good tutorials that shows step-by-step how to proceed?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Daniel Gartmann
