Filters/Plugins for crawling PDFs/Office Documents

Does EPiServer provide any filters/plugins for crawling pdfs/office documents?. I think when we install MSOffice, EPiServer crawls Office Documents.

No EPiServer does not provide any plugins for the crawling pdfs/office documents. However you can use other 3rd party tools like MondoSearch which works in conjuction with EPiServer
