case-sensitive doctype declaration for HTML5

I'm trying to implement <! doctype html> in my EPiServer project. Unfortunately, EPiServer removes it completely. But if I use <! DOCTYPE html> it works. HTML5 declaration shall, as far as I know, not be case-sensitive?

We have Episervcer 6 R2 and this is still an issue - when you say Next Release did you mean Episerver 7?

Looks like that bug was fixed after the release of EPiServer 6 R2, so you need EPiServer 7 to get the fix.
