Hi,
For sure this will not solve your issue but wanted to share my observation. Maybe it will help you somehow.
I am not able to check this on CMS 11 at the moment, but when I look at CMS 12 and the Search dashboard, I can see the field for an External Link. It could be possibly used in a case like yours where you could just put a URL to your custom content.
This could mean it is possible to do it in UI but in the newer version of CMS and Find than yours, and documentation refers to the latest version of Search and Navigation.
In the documentation (https://docs.developers.optimizely.com/digital-experience-platform/v1.1.0-search-and-navigation/docs/best-bets) it says "You can also apply Best Bets to arbitrary types you have indexed, as shown in the following example.", but how do you actually add a Best Bet for such a type? In the menu in the Find admin view (/episerver/find#manage/optimization) you can only add Best bets for Page data and Media data (as far as I can see, at least). I want to add a Best Bet for a class that is added to the index through a scheduled job.
We are on CMS 11 and EpiServer.Find 13.5.9.
