Problem with UI mapping

I'm having a weird little problem that I have trouble figuring out.
In a fresh install of EPi 6 with just a clean DB, the page tree in edit-mode has wrong mapping for the Workspace and WasteBasket pages.
They should be like this: http://localhost/siteUI/CMS/edit/wastebasketpage.aspx?id=2
But they are like this: http://localhost/siteUI/edit/wastebasketpage.aspx?id=2

This results in an ugly exception: "Directory '[my site root dir]\siteUI\edit' does not exist. Failed to start monitoring file changes"

To make things weirder, if I set the pageStartId to 1 or 2 (workspace or wastebasket) they are displayed fine when logging into edit mode, but they still give an exception if you use the edit-tree to navigate to them.

As far as I can see, all other parts of edit- and admin mode works just fine. I also did an install of the demo site, and the problem doesn't appear on that. Neither can I find any differences between the mappings in the configuration files from my site and the demo site.

I'm stumped, and any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The file name property of the SysRoot and SysRecycleBin templates was wrong.

I hereby revoke my certification.
