This sounds very much like a bug with TinyMCE, I'd check on their support forum (should get a better response there).

Hi,
I write some content in TinyMCE editor with Unordered List and it will displayed with HTML ">" character at the end. Though this happen very rare, Is there any workaround for this? moreover is there any setting to eliminate the <p> tag from the content in TinyMCE which comes by default with the content.
