Episerver - update 159

New releases of Episerver CMS Core, Episerver Commerce, Episerver Recommendations (Beta), Episerver Forms (including a critical bug fix), Episerver Forms Service API, and third-party add-on Avensia Storefront Connector. Bug fixes for A/B Testing.

The update applies to Episerver projects version 7.5 and higher, and contains finalized work items included in the latest iteration. Continuous release updates are cumulative to include previous updates. Episerver supports all platform updates and strongly recommends that you keep ongoing projects up-to-date. You can install the updates from the Episerver NuGet feed.

Main packages
This release information lists updated main package versions for the Episerver platform. When a release is built, other dependent packages also may be bumped to new versions, although they contain no publicly visible changes. This is done to avoid dependency errors. When you upgrade, NuGet alerts you to upgrade related packages to the required versions. For Commerce, it is important to ensure that you are running the same version of CMS and Commerce, both in the front-end and back-end applications.

Episerver CMS Core

New feature:

    • CMS-6821: Restart cancelled jobs
It is now possible to define that a job is restartable.
If the IIS crashes or is recycled when a job is running, the scheduler runs the job on the next scheduled time by default. A restartable job is started again to make sure it can run to completion (assuming the job can continue where it was stopped). The job can restart on any available instance/server. See also Scheduled jobs in the CMS Developer Guide.

Episerver CMS UI

Episerver Commerce

New features:

    • COM-3579[Recommendations] Recommendation click tracking
If a user clicks a recommendation (a recommended product), a click tracking request is sent to the Recommendation System (RS). This is similar to product tracking request, but it contains information about the click (RecommendationId) which helps the Recommendation System to improve recommendation results.

Episerver Forms

New features:

    • AFORM-885: Sortable form submissions
It is now possible to sort form submissions, to make it easier to navigate large amounts of submissions.
    • AFORM-889: Use data attributes for binding functionality

Data attributes are now used for binding of buttons and for functionality processing. CSS classes are used for form styling only and not functionality.

Third-party add-ons

New feature:

    • Support for licenses bound to hostname. This license model supports environments where MAC-addresses are not static, for example, Azure Web Apps. Unbound licenses are not supported.
