.NET Core/5.0 preview

Recommended reading
Note: This documentation is archived because it was the preview version of the release of CMS 12/Commerce 14/Search & Navigation 14. See Get started developing with CMS.

The Optimizely platform has traditionally been built on the ASP.NET 4 framework, but in the upcoming releases of CMS 12/Commerce 14, and Search & Navigation 14, the platform has been migrated to .NET 5.0.

Fundamentally, it is still the same product - everything-in-a-box, simple, easy to use, and familiar. You can still build everything in one application as a developer, and nothing changes in how your website looks, how it is structured, or how the editors work.

But there are a number of things that has changed, and in this section you can see a preview version of the documentation for the upcoming public release. The release is still only available as a "Limited Availability" release, and please be aware that functionality may change between now and the coming "General Availability" release.
