Hi all, I've created a Best Bets for a specific product page to pop up at the top of the internal search when someone searches particular keywords. However, it is not triggering the right page when I test a search query I placed as a Best Bet. Instead there are related resources (documents/photos) that populate the search but I want it to show the product page. Isn't the Best Bet supposed to overwrite any associated search results? Does it just take time?
Have you followed the below instructions?
If yes then are you able to see your product on best bet screen in Find admin?
Yes I followed exactly like that. Still not seeing the product page populate in the search results when I type one of the phrases into the search.
Are you able to see it in Episerver Find admin?
Yes the correct page pops up when I search in the Episerver Find admin.
Ok great. Can you please post your code snippet here that is used to retrieve the result?
Hmm that I'm not 100% sure how to provide. Can you walk me through it?
Isn't the purpose of the Best Bets to not have to rely on a dev team to manipulate the search results and simply enter a few phrases that are connected to a specific page?
Yes, you are correct but initially the dev team needs to configure this.
Please refer Note section on the page
Best bets are not enabled by default; developers need to enable them.
Got it. Thank you this points me in the right direction.
