Custom ISC Roles | Access to CMS and Media Library

Hello Community:

I am creating 2 custom ISC Roles:

ISC_3rdParty: Requires access to the CMS,
ISC_SolutionsTeam: Requires access to only the Media Library.

When I go to update the Application Dictionary for these roles I can't seem to give the first access to the CMS and the second I can't see where I can give access to the Media Library.

Please help if you can.

Hi Matt, just wanted to point you to an InsiteHelp article about this topic:

CMS Role Permissions

Basically, you cannot assign the ability to access the CMS to a custom role. You have to use the out-of-the-box content roles then edit permissions from there, if needed.

Out-of-the-box, the Content Approver role cannot access the media library, but the Content Editor can. The productImage entity in the Application Dictionary is what drives the media library access.
