Upgrading EPiServer 9

Hey guys,

I'm estimating hours for an EPiServer 9 upgrade. Are there any dependencies (minor, major) between EPiServer & Find that needs to be accounted for? We're running EPiServer 8.8.2.0 and Find 9.3.0.2674.

Any input appreciated.

Hey,

We managed to upgrade it in a couple of days.  The main issues we had were around the upgrading of Structuremap as it gets upgraded to 3 with this version and quite a few things had changed for us between the two versions.

Hi,

You will need to update Find as well - but the main reason was structuremap.

When we updated our Commerce solution to CMS 9, the most time consuming task was to fix structuremap errors. Some notes from my memory:

- a new structuremap.web nuget was added in structuremap 3 (for anything related to HttpSession such as Hybrid lifecycle

- Some registrations were changed, you'll have some fun time with the lambda.

Otherwise the changes in CMS 9 itself is quite small and straighforward.
