Multisite SSL?

I'm new at this so forgive me if this is a stupid question or if I'm not asking this coherently.

I've been told that EPiServer multisite is multitenant and only has one site setup in IIS, so how does that work with binding SSL certs to specific sites?

You can choose if you want everything running in one IIS site or multiple. So if you have separate domain names (not subdomains where a wildcard SSL/TLS certificate will work), just create a new IIS site for it with the right certificate for that domain name.
