Hi,

I'm trying to install EPiServer along with a Commerce Site using the deployment centre and it keeps crashing.

I've followed the Installation Instructions for EPiServer Commerce 7.5 but I keep getting this error

Hi,

It looks like log error is pointing to a credential issue with the DB user:

"Login failed for user 'dbUserCommerceTraining."

You'll just want to verify that the password entered is correct for that user. Otherwise, as a test, just create a new dbUser in the installer, set any password to that user, and see if the installation will finish this time around.

Hi,

I would suggest to try with a new SQL Server login created by the installer first - it is supposed to have enough previlliges to run the script during installation. I suspect you're using an existing login?

Hi,

no, I'm not using an existing login. At the stage where the Commerce site installs, I leave the installer to create the user login name then and enter a password.

thanks,

Steve.

Did you select to use Windows authentication in the first check box?

Hi,

yes, I've used the windows authentication and followed the instructions from the above link.

I've used the deployment centre to set-up the Alloy site so I assume I'm using it correctly.

During installation, the standard EPiServer site gets installed ok but it always crashes during the Commerce bit.

Thanks.

Stephen.

Hi,

any more thoughts on this?

I've a project about to start soon and we are hoping to use this but if we can't get it to install we'll have to look at the alternatives.

Thanks,

Steve.

Quickest way to take a look at the latest EPiServer Commerce is it download and install the Quicksilver demo site.

For an empty site you can install an empty cms web site and add commerce and commerce manager through nuget feed:

See these

this might help too:

hope this helps?
