Difference between Catalog batch and Catalog Entry

Have a question regarding searching inside the commerce manager and what ends up in different areas.
We have SKU:s that only can be found under the Catalog Batch Update.

The SKU can't be found searching in the Catalog Entry Search or manually expanding the catalog tree.
Can't see any obvious difference between this SKU or another when comparing.

Could someone please explain the difference and what flag or likewise determines what could be found under different search methods?

Rebuild Index (Administration->System Settings->Search Index).
Catalog Entry Search or manually expanding the catalog tree are direct calls to DB, I Guess.

Catalog Batch Update uses methods from ICatalogSystem to get list of entries (DTO + MetaObjects), so it's not actual search (it uses CatalogSearchDataSource, which uses ICatalogSystem internally)

Search by ID or Code in Catalog management uses SQL to query, while other places (search by keyword, search when you create order,...) use Search.

You should go to Administration->System Settings->Search Index, Rebuild all index, then click on Recover button to switch the Indexing Processor Status to Recovering. So whenever you make changes to entries, they will automatically reindexed without your manual actions.
