Spend for Discounted Selection configuration issue

Another one question about new marketing system.

We use EPiServer Commerce v

The configuration is:

  • there is a category (let's call it level 1 category) in the root catalog. It contains items and subcategories.
  • subcategory (level 2 category) in the level 1 category. It contains items.
  • "Spend for Discounted Selection" discount is created.
  • level 1 category is selected on discount setting. "Include subcategories" checkbox is unchecked.
  • some reward is set for items on discount setting

I add an item from level 1 category and open shopping cart. Discount has applied to item.

After that I add an item from level 2 category and open shopping cart.  Discount has applied only to item from level 1 category. It is expected result.

But if after that I change qty of item from level 2 category in shopping cart, totals will be recalculated and discount will be applied to both items (level 1 and level2). It is unexpected cause "Include subcategories" option is turned off.

Could you please check this configuration or give any advice to find out root cause of the issue.

That is strange. Assuming you are talking about BuyQuantityGetSelectedItemsDiscount - are you sure your cart is not being applied some other promotions?

No, I mean "Spend for Discounted Selection
Spend amount to receive a discount on selected items."

I assume that it is "SpendAmountGetItemDiscount" in the code.

I am sure that there is no other discount is created.

OK, so my other question remains - is there any other promotion?

I asked our QAs to replicate the behavior, however can you try it on Quicksilver 12.2 to see if you can still reproduce it?

May 29, 2018 10:38

I used to use old version of Quicksilver, it will take sometime to setup latest Quicksilver.

Our QAs confirmed that they can reproduce the behavior. We will file a bug for this and will look into it.

Thanks. Could you please give a bug number.

COM-7239 - but it is not yet made public as we still need to refine/triage it to make it ready.
