CreateInstance failed for EPiServer.Diagnostics.ITransformer. Class not registered.

We keep getting this error in our production systems. Does anyone know why and how to prevent it from occuring again?

Hi,

sorry for picking up this old thread but we currently have the same prodblem suddenly..

this is on a EPi 4.61.5.83

if I remove the

<Episerver:loggenerator />

webcontrol from the master page things seem to run again...

anyone know the issue for this why it complains about ITransformer?

The error message" CreateInstance failed for EPiServer.Diagnostics.ITransformer. Class not registered." occurs when EPiServer isn't able to initialize itself on application start even in EPiServer global. So this error message said only that something is wrong in the installation phase.
Read the EPiServer log files to se what really went wrong.
