Migrating from Oracle to MS SQL Server

Vote:

We are considering migrating from Oracle to MS SQL Server for one of our customers, prior to upgrading their site to EPiServer CMS 5 (they are currently running 4.61).

I'm sure this can be done using EPiServers exporting and importing functionality. However, our goal is to keep all the PageIDs intact, and thus make sure that all user bookmarks still works, and that the indexes and pageranks of the various search engines are still valid. We are currently experimenting with datapumps in SQL Server to copy data from EPiServer tables in the Oracle database, to the equivalent EPiServer tables in a fresh installation with an MS SQL Server database. Our initial tests looks promising so far, but we are not quite there yet.

Does any of you have any experience in migrating from Oracle to MS SQL Server? Any Do's and Dont's? Pitfalls? Things to consider? If so, I'd like to hear your comments.

Thanks,
Kjetil
