Are you able to open the same document with Office 2003 but not 2007? Or, is the problem related to documents created by Office 2007? If so, you need to add the mime-types for Office 2007/2010 documents: http://www.bram.us/2007/05/25/office-2007-mime-types-for-iis/
Hi,
We are in the middle of upgrading to Windows 7/Office 2010 when we have encountered a problem.
When we try to open a office document (excel or word) from the intranet (EPI server) which is in the resource gallery we get an login prompt. If we push cancel the document opens normally.
This is only appearing when we have Office 2007 or 2010 installed with Windows 7. With Office 2003 the file open without login prompt.
We have tried adding various locations in "Trusted Locations" and lowered the security without any luck. We both have resource gallery locally on the same server and on a shared resource.
We have a Windows 2003 server with IIS 6 and are using "Integrated Windows Authentication".
If we make a direct link to a file then it will work without any prompt, even sharepoint works...
Anyone with a idea what to do?
/Daniel
