Error: Self Optimizing Block 2.4.0 Maximum call stack exceeded

Hi, trying to get attention to this issue because it has been reported already in the add-ons forum but there has been no response to it.

NuGet package version information:

  • EPiServer.CMS 11.5.0
  • EPiServer.Cms.AddOns.Blocks 2.4.0
  • (I have also the EPiServer.Marketing.Testing 2.5.0 installed if that has any effect on the issue)
  • So Alloy MVC + EPiServer Search + latest NuGets

Steps to reproduce:

  • create two editorial blocks with some lorem ipsum content
  • create Self optimizing block and drop those two editorial blocks to this block
  • publish the self optiming block
  • switch to all properties view (if not already using that)
  • place the self optimizing block on the alloy start page and publish start page
  • edit the self optimizing block
  • switch to on page edit mode in the block
  • switch to all properties view mode in the block

Expected: all properties view is displayed correctly and no javascript errors

Result: in browser developer tools javascript error: RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded

Reported as a bug to Episerver developer support.
