Please add another field for error message for regular expression validation
We have feature that for customizing validation message for each validator but it is not released yes. The workaround can be applied now is changing message in xml language file (it will be used on every forms), so you should change the message to something general.

Is there an update on this feature, or it's release date? Can we monitor its progress anywhere?
The work around isn't that useful as it will be applied to all of the regex errors. It would be much nicer to have custom messages where they are needed.

if we had another field to put in a message we can use that instead of the stock
This field should be in "^\(\d{3}\)\d{3}-\d{4}$" format.
which almost no user could comprehend.
