Can't get block in content areas indexed

Vote:

Been trying to get my blocks indexed by adding the [IndexInContentAreas] attribute but so fare no luck. Is this something missed in New Find? Or am I just doing it wrong?

Hi Petter,

That attribute should work. That means that the block will be indexed with the page when it is dropped on a specific page. So when searching for content in the block should return the pages the block is located on.

After adding the attribute you need to reindex the site or at least change the block and page to be republished.

Not sure what was the issue but got this working. Could have been that we had blocks in blocks and that didn't go well with the Serialization.

A follow up question though. Adding the [IndexInContentAreas] attribute seems to have removed the Blocks from being indexed on their own. I nolonger find the ContactBlock as it's own type in the index. Is this by design or buggish?
