Hi!
I have Find version 8.10 and I would like to get a "recommended" search result depending on what the user search for previously.
Whats the correct way to go?

Sandra

Hi Sanda,

So just to clarify your question. Are you looking for something that can be done for an individual user or for visitors in general? If you want for visitors in general then you can use the statistical information to build. People who searched for x also searched for y

More information about that can be found here: http://world.episerver.com/documentation/Items/Developers-Guide/EPiServer-Find/8/Search-Statistics/introduction-to-search-statistics/ Under related query is an example in javascript. This can also be done using the statistics client found in the c# api and the DidYouMean(String query) method.

Hi Marcus,

I'm looking for something that can be done for an individual user.
I'm building an Intranet for 4000 users and they are all expecting search results based on their own history.

I couldn't find anything in the documentation so I built my own register using the DDS.
Works like a charm.
But, I'm still wondering if there is some built in functionality in Find.

Regards
Sandra

Hi,

Sorry to say that we do not do anything on individual level when tracking. I am glad that you were able to solve it anyways.
