Searching in files, but getting the host page as result

Hello,

I'm trying to achieve the functionality in subject. I understand that files are automatically indexed in EpiFind, but when I try to get results I don't get the pages that host these files. I get the files themselves.

Can I achieve the desired behavior in your opinion? I have a content area in the page and some files can be added to it.

Thank you in advance

Hi Matteo,

What you are seeing is the default way how it works. By default content is not indexed in content areas, but you can change that functionality, see the short documentation about it.

But do you want to index the file name to the page or the content of the file, that is the next question.

Then you could also look to a custom implementation on what gets indexed on the page. Documentation and oldish forum thread about this (see Joels comment on the first page).

Hi Antti,

I would like to have files behaving like blocks on an indexing point of view, so the file content should be indexed and should refer to the page that hosts them. I saw Joel's reply, but he is taliing about blocks if I understood correctly.

Any idea?

Thanks
