We are planning to use Solr for search but need some input before we be commit us to Solr. The product catalog will be retrieved from an ERP system weekly where products, groups, meta data, fields, searchable, facets, etc. will be defined. That is, we have to create the catalog and search index configuration dynamically using API code.
A) Is is possible to create all those product catalog objects in EPiServer using API code?
B) Does Solr support API configuration of schema.xml like Fields, Facets, etc. That is, hand-modification to the file is obvious a no-go...
