Google Analytics Add-on doesn't render tracking code

I have installed the Google Analytics Add-on (version 1.7.1.8000) via NuGet (install-package EPiServer.GoogleAnalytics) and configured it with my tracking ID. However, no tracking JavaScript code snippet is rendered in the HTML.

Do I have to do anything extra in particular to make it work?
