Newtonsoft.Json is now in v12, it would be nice to be able to update to that version so please fix all your packages that has dependency to this to work with version 12

Yes please ;-)

v12 release notes.

Don't need any of the fixes or new features currently, but usyally the need to update Newtonsoft.Json NuGet has come from other dependencies (other NuGet packages).

We are planning on using ReactJS.NET in our Episerver project. Version 5.0.0 of this package depends on Newtonsoft.JSON version 12. Because Episerver has an upper bound restriction on the Newtonsoft.JSON package version of 11 we cannot use the latest version of ReactJS.NET.
Version 12 of Newtonsoft.JSON has been around for 9 months now, are there any plans on updating the Episerver packages any time soon?

It's really a hassle trying to use a package which is conflicting (version-wise) with other packages. If someone can give us a time frame on updating the Episerver packages to support the v12 version, we can decide whether it's worth to put some time in a workaround.

We're in the same boat as Henk, currently using an older version of ReactJS.NET due to version constraints on Newtonsoft.Json.

Hoping that Episerer will support v12 soon.

From version 11.13.1 EPiServer.Framework supports Newtonsoft.Json 12.x. There may be other packages that explicitly reference Newtonsoft.Json and haven't been tested to have their ranges updated yet, but at least some solutions should be open to use 12.x now.
