I'm trying to install EpiServer on a development box on our corporate network. We use a proxy on our internet connection and I do not have the option of turning this off or bypassing it.
My question is simple. How can I install a copy of EpiServer? I notice on the FAQ that installation is not possible when some proxy servers are used and that Episerver are working to address this problem. However, that post is from 2003! Can I assume a solution has not been found? I want to create an offline installation.
The error I receive when trying to create the offline installation is:
'Unable to establish network connection to download server. The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required'.
When trying to use the alternative install method I get the message:
'Cannot connect to installation server, only offline installation will be available'.
I have to say, I think this is a bit poor.
Any advice or a solution would be much appreciated. Why can't I just download a setup file like most other software?
