EMVP Program Updates and new EMVPs

Image emvplogo.jpg

The Episerver Most Valuable Professional program has existed for quite a few years and is still going strong! But as with many other things, it’s about time we give it an upgrade! When the EMVP program was started the main intended audience was developers, mainly since main intent was to motivate and promote those developers that share code, answer forum questions and help the developer community. It worked excellent, and we are thrilled to have such an awesome developer community!

But over the last few years it’s become increasingly obvious that not only developers are sharing their knowledge and contributing to improving the online experience for all Episerver users. There are also more business minded people that are sharing ideas, strategic visions, marketing and editorial knowledge on many channels, ranging from blogs, to twitter and other media. Some of them are cross-overs from the technical side, some of them are purely business focused.

So, today I’m happy to announce that the EMVP program in the future officially will be for both Developers and Digital Strategists that are experts in their field and actively share knowledge with our community of customers and partners and inspire great digital experiences. To begin with we would like to acknowledge those already existing EMVPs that are crossovers from the technical to the business side – but still greatly appreciated EMVPs: Alexander Haneng, Arild Henrichsen, Chris Osterhout and Deane Barker. In the future, we are happy to accept nominations for other digital strategists that qualify for EMVP status.

EMVP Changes

I’m very happy to welcome the following people to the rank of EMVP:

Eric Herlitz, sQills, Sweden

Daniel Ovaska, Mogul, Sweden

Luc Gosso, Gosso Systems, Sweden

Sadly, we also lost 5 EMVPs. Some of them, because they are now Episerver staff (and as such disqualified from remaining EMVP) and some due to low community activity. We thank them for their service through the years!

If you want to learn more about the EMVP Program or see a list of the current EMVPs, you can find it on world.episerver.com/emvp.
