There's lot's of flexibility in what you can export, from any node in your content structure to content types, linked pages, dependent content types, etc.
Here's a description: http://webhelp.episerver.com/latest/cms-admin/exporting-importing-data.htm
There`s no support for exporting multiple pages with different parents, so you would need to do this 30 times or create something custom. This should definitely be built in functionality. @Bob can this be added to the backlog?
Since you are already on this case, we would like a feature to export a parentpage without exporting it´s children.
For instance, we have a customer with a parentpage that we would like to export > import to our dev enviroment without getting all 500+ childpages.
Hi Peter, that feature is actually work in progress at the moment, so stay tuned for the weekly releases. :-)
Hi Peter,
A new and improved version of the import/export feature was released on December 5, 2016 in EPiServer.CMS.UI 10.2.0. Here's a link to the feature description: http://world.episerver.com/documentation/Release-Notes/ReleaseNote/?releaseNoteId=CMS-4114.
And here's a blog post explaining the new functionality: http://world.episerver.com/blogs/Johan-Bjornfot/Dates1/2016/11/exportimport-improvments/ .
It doesn't seem possible to export several pages in one single export file unless they share the same parent page somehow.
Is that right?
I'm looking to export about 30 pages and it looks like I will have to repeat the process of exporting and importing 30 times.
Yay! =)
