REST API to consume content?

Vote:

Are there any RESTful APIs in Epi that can be used to consume content, say to display some content in a Single Page Application?  We are evaluating Epi and would like to know how much of the CMS is exposed via APIs.

I know Kentico recently announced a headless version, and while we know Epi doesn't have a headless version, we are hoping that we can at least get at some core functions via some endpoints.  If these endpoints don't exist currently, from your experiences, would it be relatively easy to wrap existing Epi functionality and expose it via an API we build ourselves?

Any opinions will be helpful.

Hi Tim

The service API can be used to expose a RESTful set of APIs over the core platform and is primarily for use in commerce. Allan Thraen created a set of extensions for exposing core CMS entities:

You can also simply use web API to create endpoints if required too.
