What if you just add new domain binding to the Episerver (assuming that it is not publicly reachable) and access site using that domain?
Hi,
Thanks
Yes thats what im aiming at, but i I dont get the effect when I change <applicationSettings uiUrl="http://editorialdomain/secret/CMS/
The external domain is still working when I try accessing edit/admin.
Is there another place i need to change as well?
/P
New domains need to be added to IIS for the site first like Valdis say and then you can manage them in admin mode.
https://webhelp.episerver.com/latest/en/cms-admin/managing-websites.htm
There you can select what domain should be used as edit host and if you have a multiple site setup you can also specify things like what start page / culture to use.
Changing the uiUrl and adding a host mapping of type 'Edit' doesn't stop other host mappings from working. But it will change all generated links within edit mode so all navigation still works.
Hi
I want to change the url to editmode.
http://domain.se/episerver
to
http://editorialdomain.se/episerver
We wont have an editorial server but an internal domain to access editmode, thats at least the current approach.
I know that this could be done in earlier versions of Episerver but it seems like the only thing that can change is the "episerver"-path but not the actual domain?
I migh be missing something here, any guidance would be helpful.
