Filtering the Category selection property

Hi,

Is it possible to restrict the Category selection property to only allow the user to select categories of a particular name?

For example, if I set up a parent category called Person, and then I define children of this (e.g. Doctor, Fireman, Teacher), can I get the Category selection property to only display the categories within the Person parent and to ignore all other exisiting categories?

I hope I'm making sense!

I had a solution for this some time back: http://world.episerver.com/Blogs/Magnus-Paulsson/Dates/2009/9/Automatic-Sub-Category-Property-Type/

However, if you are using CMS 6 I suggest you use Property Settings to save a setting for the root category rather than to infer it from the property name like I did back then.

A also wrote a blog about this a while back http://labs.episerver.com/en/Blogs/Anders-Hattestad/Dates/2009/3/Category---more-than-labeling/ Basicly what you can do here is to make one branch of your category tree selecteble and even add on the fly
