Run a javascript in the backend
Hmm, what exactly are you willing to run - javascript "in backend", or javascript "in client-side" for an event on backend?
If later I would try to look for some framework that can "execute" (signal all connected clients) javascript on client-side if some event happens on the server. For instance, you can take a look at how this could be implemented using SignalR - http://www.tech-fellow.lv/2013/06/add-some-reactive-signaling-to-your-relate-site/
