Main packages
This release information lists updated main package versions for the Episerver platform. When a release is built, other dependent packages also may be bumped to new versions, although they contain no publicly visible changes. This is done to avoid dependency errors. When you upgrade, NuGet alerts you to upgrade related packages to the required versions. For Commerce, it is important to ensure that you are running the same version of CMS and Commerce, both in the front-end and back-end applications.

Episerver Commerce

New features:

    • COM-4988[Recommendations] Packages have been refactored to use Episerver.Tracking.Core
Rewrites the Episerver Personalization integration to use the common API from EPiServer.Tracking.Core, streamlining and integrating the tracking process with other Episerver products like Profile Store and Advance. This also makes it possible to use the same APIs in Commerce for tracking to one or more services with or without Perform product recommendations.
    • COM-3531[Recommendations] Tracking implemented through JS API
Adds Beta APIs to track visitor behavior and display recommendations in the client, improving performance by offloading the server and enabling the client to start rendering the view earlier.
    • COM-3707[Recommendations] Commerce Tracking and Perform Integration General Availability Release
Removal of the Beta classification of the server-side Commerce tracking and Perform product recommendation APIs. The Perform-specific JavaScript tracking/recommendation API remains in Beta.
    • COM-3221[Recommendations] Extension points for catalog feed generation added
Adds extension points to adapt the catalog data exported for use in Perform product recommendations. This includes filtering out products based on custom conditions as well as adapting the exported price, inventory, URL, image and other product properties.
    • COM-4813: Promotion exclusion supported on a per-item level
Adds option to base exclusion logic on individual items, as an alternative to an entire cart. Upgraded sites use the previous behavior by default. For details, see Promotion exclusions.

The following packages replace the Beta packages EPiServer.Recommendations and EPiServer.Recommendations.Commerce.
