Debugging EPiServer Search

Vote:

Hi forum

I'm trying to setup EPiServer Search to index the CMS, but so far I'm unable get any hits. Do you have any good advice on how to debug this?

I think the Index service is running, because I can see files being generated at the place where I have specified the index to be stored.

According to this post: http://world.episerver.com/Modules/Forum/Pages/thread.aspx?id=66078, there should be a hidden page where I can trigger reindexing of the site: http://yoursite/EPiServer/CMS/Admin/IndexContent.aspx. I can't access the page, on my 7.5 site. Has it been removed?

Thank you for your help.

Regards

Anders

It's still there. In your example url above it's important that the /EPiServer/ part is your secure path to the UI.

In you search Index folder do you have more than two files in the Main subfolder?

Heres a good blog post about search configuration: http://sveinaandahl.blogspot.se/2013/06/how-to-install-episerver-search-for.html

Hi Per

Thank you for your reply. I found the page. It was located under a different path.

After I started a new indexing process, I'm able to get results from EPiServer Search. I have a feeling that I had some issues during the setup, so that not all content was indexed properly.
