I think it could be due to the fact that Link Validation saves a date on which a link was last checked. It does not check it again until the next configured value is passed. which is by defualt 7 days. It also contains the broken links from old page versions. Perhaps thats the reason you get more numbers in the job then the report.
Thanks for reply, didn't know that it counts from the old page versions but that must be the reason, which I find unneccessary though.

When I run the scheduled job "Link Validation" I always get a higher number of broken links than the reports shows. For example I get like 330 checked links, 16 broken, but the report only shows 2. I've runned the scheduled job both manually and scheduled, and tried in 4 different environments, and in all environments I get fewer number in the report than the scheduled job. Anyone experienced this before?
