Although it's possible (nothing is impossible! :) ), but it is not officially supported. E.g if you run into some issues, unfortunately our support team and Expert services won't be able to help. I would recommend you to suggest your client to use CMS 7/Commerce R3a or later version.

Hi,
I've got a client who wants to their new production environment for EPiServer CMS 6 R2 and Commerce 1 R2 SP1 to use Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2012 R2. According to EPiServer themselves, this isn't supported, but some resources on the web says that it's possible.
Is there anyone here that have any experience of this?
