Epi search, no partial hits

Vote:

Hi,

We're currently migrating a project from 7.5 to 9.

In 7.5 we are able to search for partial sku codes in Commerce Manager. However in epi 9 we are only able to search for complete sku codes, partial codes gives no hits.

Is this a configuration or is it by design that you can't search for partial keywords? Any workaround?

Forgot to mention, search in Commerce Catalog UI does not give any hits on partial codes either.

I'm pretty sure that you can search with partial sku codes. However did you try to rebuild the search index after upgrading?

Hi,

We have tried reindexing. Actually we have the same experience in two other solutions that are not upgrade projects. We can not search for part of sku code, we can however search for partialword* and get hits on the title. We have tried partial codes with and without * both in the query field and the code field in CM but no hits.

The search by code/Id field uses SQL internally, so you can't search with partial word

But I'm testing with the search by keyword and it works:

Which search provider are you using?

Hi,

I was checking with sql profiler, are you sure it uses SQL in epi 9?

We're using Lucene. In epi 7 we could search for partial sku code in CM.

By the way, when you search for extralarge as shown you're actually getting hits on the name, and not the code.
