Commerce Catalog Access rights 7.5

Hi,

We are using Episerver 7.5. We were wondering if there is a way to Restrict CMS Editors to the Commerce section of the CMS such as editorial access to the commerce catalogue.

We have a catalog that we want a speific group to be able to edit but not have access to other catalogs.

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jonathan

I would look into to build in roles that are already configured in commerce.

https://webhelp.episerver.com/15-2/EN/Content/Commerce/CustomerManagement/Roles%20and%20Permissions.htm

Or potential create you own new role.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for this - when I create a Commerce account and then click on the Create Account and save the details - I can't find the user account in the CMS > Admin Search Users seaction.

What I did notice is that in this blog http://webhelp.episerver.com/Commerce/7.5/#User%20Guide/IN_UserAccessRoles.htm the user is a CMSMembership Provider we use SQLServerMembership Provider. Should this make a difference?

Thanks

Jon

If you want to stop an editor from accessing the Catalog UI completely, you can make sure him or her is not both Administrator/WebAdmin or CatalogManagers

If you want him or her to have access to only ONE catalog but not others, then you would need to upgrade to a much newer version. Catalog access right is added in 11.8 or later (can't remember exactly version)
