Is this a bug? EPiServer 4.60 When using the episerver shourtcut I get an error. I get the error when both viewing and editing the page. I only get the error when linking to an external page. After having created a page with external link, I not able to edit the page any more. I get a error message: Exception Details: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex

Yes Erik, this is unfortunately a bug. There is a fix created for it, but you can also easily work around the problem as a quick solution. The error will only appear when you use Shortcut/External Link to create a link to another web site, and you supply a URL consisting only of a domain, without a trailing slash. Examples: http://www.episerver.com will cause the error. http://www.episerver.com/ will work fine. http://www.episerver.com/devforum will work fine. However, once you have created a "buggy" page you will have a hard time editing it - just as you described. Reload/refresh your edit mode, delete the buggy page and create a new one - making sure you add that final "/" to the domain URL.
