Making IIS 7.5 web.config work with IIS6.0

Vote:

Hi,

We have a CMS 6 site which needs to go live. The only issue I have right now is that the dev environment is using IIS 7.5 while the staging environment uses IIS 6.0.

Dev environment = IIS 7.5

Staging environment = IIS 6.0

Using the IIS 7.5 web.config on the staging environment without making any changes loads the site all right. But the Home page layout seems a bit off. Images are missing, a user control is not visible (though it's on the page when you view the source code). Menu and submenu all results to a "page cannot be found" error.

So I used an IIS 7.5 web.config file instead. But still results are the same.

I modified the proper VPP and site url and even have the correct episerver directory references on the config files.

I deployed the site manually and not via EPiServer Deployment Center.

Hoping someone can help me with this.

Cheers,

Jan

I was able to fix the broken links but still the EPiServer right click context menu doesn't show up.
