Hi!

I wondered if you guys could provide some answers regarding external links and the database table tblContentSoftLink?

If an editor defines an external link, regardless of property type, is the link stored in tblContentSoftLink? In other words, are all external links stored in tblContentSoftLink?

It is actually used to store both internal and external links. Even if it is used in an XhtmlString.

Short answer; no. Longer answer; all properties that makes sense to store links or content references in. Following property types are indexing soft links:

ContentAera
ContentAreaItem
LinkItemCollection
LinkItem
ContentReference
Url
XhtmlString
Guid
