We are developing a website using EpiServer 4.31. There seems to be a problem with the DHTML-editor when inserting images that is uploaded at the same time using the insert image dialog. The path to the images does not include the virtual directory that we have installed EpiServer on. If we insert an already uploaded image, the image is displayed correctly with the correct path.
Example:
Wrong:
Correct:
We have set EPsRootDir-setting is set to the virtual directory "/web/" and EPsUploadDir-setting is set to "/upload/".

This unfortunately does'nt solve our problem. I have tried every combination there is.
The strange thing is that everything works fine if I insert an already uploaded image...

This is a known issue in 4.31 and it has been fixed in 4.40.
The problem description from the bug report:
When you open the LinkTool (insert image for instance) neither the Page's folder or the General folder is selected. If you upload a document without selecting a folder the document will be placed in the general folder and the link to the document will be "/upload/doc.doc". This causes a problem when EPiServer is installed in a virtual directory since the created link still points to "/upload/doc.doc" when it should be "/VirtualDirName/upload/doc.doc".
Workaround:
Always select the Page or General folder before uploading a file.
