Hi,

I have a search page on a site i am working on that runs a typed search for a type of object i have cerated that is not content of the site. Is there a way to create best bets for this content? I can't see how this could be done but thought i'd ask to see if anyone has found a way to do this.

Thanks

Sam

Hi Sam,

Do you want the best bets for external items? then the answer is yes you can.

And if you want the best bets without specifying the internal or external link then answer is NO. because these fields are mandatory fields

What i want to apply best bets to is a typed search for an object that has been added to the index (eg client.Index(myObject)). I can't see how this would be possible but I was curious if this has come up before for anyone.

I haev done some more testing today and i don't beleive this is possible, which makes sense.

The main use of Best bets is to highlight/featured the page if it matches best bets so it is not possible to create Best bets with an internal or external item.
