Cannot View Cache Hit Rate - is my cache enabled?

I'm trying to find out how many pages are delivered from cache to confirm that the cache is indeed working.

According to this admin manual :

http://world.episerver.com/Documents/Manuals/EPiServer%20CMS/AdminManuals/EPiServer%207%20CMS/EPiServer%207%20CMS%20Administrator%20User%20Guide%20%28print%29%20in%20English.pdf

The cache hit rate is displayed on the first admin page... however all i can see is the number of pages in the database.

Is this a configuration that i need to set? does it mean the cache is turned off? or is this for a later version? Im running V 7.0.586.1

Thanks

found the answer... need to set enablePerformanceCounters="true" in the <sites> setting.

This wasnt documented in http://world.episerver.com/Documentation/Items/Developers-Guide/EPiServer-CMS/7/Configuration/Configuring-episerver-Section/
