Content Area - hyperlinks to internal page replaced

Vote:

Hi,

When I put a hyperlink to an external link for an episerver page (with parameters) in a content area, episerver replaces the external link url with an internal page link. When it does this, the parameters are stripped out, since the internal page links cannot take parameters.

Is this a bug? or by design?

Is there any way to stop episerver from replacing external urls with internal page links in its content areas?

Use a custom partial route for parameters?

I haven't seen this myself with later version so first check if you have higher version than fixed version on these bugs and upgrade if not.

If that's not possible then an ugly work around like custom partial router or set up an IIS redirect / in code and link to that page in content editor.

Upgrade from 7 is best. 9 is a great version :)

Much more bug free and faster to work with a editor...
