We need more concrete clues to be able to help you.
Use Fiddler2 (or the Net tab in FireFox Firebug) to analyze the request and response to the page that is causing the error and post the raw headers here.
Hi!
I guess it is interesting only when the error occurs, so I have to wait until we get it the next time. But is it the information below that you were requesting, so that I know to get the correct things.

Hi!
We have a strange error that occurs from time to time on different pages on the web. When visiting one of(could be any page in the structure, but only one at the time) all users get a message about retrieving a file. The same message you get when you try to download a something with an unknown file type, where you can choose from three buttons(Search, Save, Cancel). This popup locks the site that is still in the background.
If you go to edit mode and republish the page, the error disappears.
