404 after upgrade from CMS 5 to CMS 6

Hi!

After upgrading from EPiServer CMS 5 to CMS 6 we're experiencing some problems.

The site is running and we can enter admin/edit mode. However, when using the new TinyMCE editor we get the following error:

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

This appears, for example, when we try to access the HTML-editor dialog:

http://[HOST]/Util/Editor/tinymce/themes/advanced/source_editor.htm

The same goes for the table-editor dialog.

Does this have something to do with IIS Wildcard Mappings or could there be something else?

I have no solution, but I suggest you install an example CMS 6 site on the same computer and compare the configs, especially the http handlers as you suggest. If comparing is hard, you can copy the default files and add what's specific for your site and see if it works then.

We followed your advice and compared two web.config-files. Some differences did indeed show up (missing HTTP-handlers) and after making the necessary corrections we managed to get things up and running.

Thanks!
